The XML Summer School is a unique event in the XML calendar. Hosted by CSW Group, The XML Summer School goes beyond that of a traditional XML training course, offering delegates an unrivalled learning experience in the heart of Oxford. The world-renowned speakers explore the latest trends in XML technologies and illustrate how they can be applied in specific industry settings.

Eve Maler – Technology Director at Sun Microsystems and specialist in identity specifications for Liberty Alliance, Eve is Track Chair of the two-day Web Services and Identity seminar at XML Summer School 2007.
Paul Madsen – A specialist from NTT’s Information Sharing Platform Laboratory and Co-chair of the Technology Expert Group for Liberty Alliance. Paul is presenting the ‘Identity Web Services’ lecture in the Web Services and Identity seminar.
John Kemp – Technical Architect at Nokia Corporation and has also contributed to Liberty Alliance’s web service specifications, John is presenting the ‘Advanced Web Services’ lecture in the Web Services and Identity seminar.
Delegates with any level of knowledge will find something to challenge them at the XML Summer School. The innovative curriculum is split into three main tracks: Introductory, Technical and Applications.
The Introductory Track consists of the 3-day Hands-on Introduction to XML seminar and a newly announced seminar called Teach Yourself Ontology Management. The Technical Track seminars for 2007 include: Content and Knowledge with XML; Trends and Transients; and XLST,XSL-FO and XQuery. Applications Track seminars include: Building XML Applications; XML in Healthcare; and Web Services and Identity.
Delegates can choose the complete five-day residential course or select to attend individual tracks and seminars. The event combines formal presentations, practical hands-on exercises and panel discussions along with an exciting array of evening functions and excursions. There are excellent opportunities to question speakers on a one-to-one basis as well as network with your fellow delegates.
