The Liberty Alliance Interoperable™ test events are guided by the following documents, which combined, cover the logo licensing, confidentiality agreements, specification requirements and test sequencing.

Trademark License Agreement (TMLA) -

All organizations which successfully pass the Liberty Interoperable™ testing program have the option to license the Liberty Interoperable™ logo Liberty Interoperable(TM) logo for the certified product. Organizations which do so have made a legal and binding agreement to maintain their product at a defined quality level.

The Liberty Interoperable™ program requires that each organization successfully completes tests against scripts and scenarios published by the Liberty Alliance. These scripts (testing procedures) are derived from the static conformance requirements (SCR), and are designed to test the implementations against one another to demonstrate interoperability of required and optional specification features. In addition, a test harness is employed to test implementations individually for resistance against various attack vectors.

Static Conformance Requirements (SCR) -

SCRs describe features that are mandatory and optional for implementations conforming to the Liberty Alliance Federation and Web Services specifications. These are normative documents with several non-normative explanatory sections.

OASIS Standard SAML v 2.0 Static Conformance Requirements
Liberty Alliance ID-WSF 1.1 Static Conformance Requirements
Liberty Alliance ID-WSF 1.0 Static Conformance Requirements
Liberty Alliance ID-FF 1.2 Static Conformance Requirements
Liberty Alliance ID-FF 1.1 Static Conformance Requirements

Testing Procedures

These documents outline the steps and procedures necessary to pass the Liberty Interoperable™ testing for the stated specifications and are derived from the SCRs.
