This webcast, the second in a four-part series, will focus on the Credential Management Service Assessment Criteria. It will be moderated by Vijay Takanti, Exostar VP, Security Services; CertiPath, CTO and Policy Chair; and TSCP, Design Authority Lead. This section outlines the criteria for the functional conformity of a CSP’s credential management services and those of its providers to comply with the Four Levels of Assurance. The review session will focus on the various credential-related processes including the operating environment, issuance, revocation, status management and validation/authentication of credentials.Participants in the webcast are encouraged to read the Credential Management Service Assessment Criteria ahead of time in the Identity Assurance Framework. Vijay Takanti

Mr. Takanti is Vice President and Security Program Director for the Security portfolio of products and services at Exostar. As such, he is responsible for the strategy and product road map, design, development, and customer delivery of the Security solutions. Since taking his role, Takanti has grown the Exostar Security Services business. Takanti has over 20 years of experience in electronic data processing, application design and development, and information security solutions. He joined Exostar through the acquisition of Evincible® Software in 2004 where he was the founder and CEO. At Evincible®, Takanti developed solutions that bridge the integration chasm between business applications and security components such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Prior to founding Evincible® Software, Mr. Takanti served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Society of Worldwide Interbank Telecommunication (SWIFT) where he architected the Next Generation of the SWIFT Net architecture. SWIFT is the financial industry-owned cooperative supplying secure messaging services and interface software to 7,000 financial institutions in 197 countries processing on average an estimated USD 6 trillion of payment messages.

Mr. Takanti is recognized as an authority on the emerging and evolving technologies related to electronic signatures and digital identify management; and has consulted to a variety of enterprises on these topics. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communications from JNTU in Hyderabad, India; a Masters in Computer Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology in Khargpur; and a Masters in Business Administration from George Mason University, Virginia. Vijay lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children. He enjoys reading good fiction or history.
